Each cylinder starts with a thorough understanding of your application: bore size, stroke length, operating pressure, mounting configuration, and environmental conditions. Our engineers translate those requirements into a complete cylinder design using CAD, optimised for performance and long service life.

Cylinder tubes are honed to tight tolerances for smooth piston travel and consistent sealing. Chrome-plated piston rods are ground and polished to minimise friction and seal wear. Seal packages are selected based on fluid type, pressure range, and temperature — covering standard polyurethane and NBR profiles through to high-temperature and chemical-resistant compounds.

HydraPro manufactures both single-acting cylinders — where pressure acts on one side and gravity or a spring returns the rod — and double-acting cylinders, where hydraulic pressure controls both extension and retraction. Double-acting designs are standard for applications requiring controlled force in both directions.

For offshore, construction, mining, and heavy plant applications, HydraPro produces heavy-duty cylinders built to withstand high cycle rates, extreme pressures, and harsh environments. Materials, coatings, and seal systems are specified accordingly.

Every cylinder undergoes pressure testing and dimensional inspection prior to delivery. Documentation including test reports, material certificates, and drawings can be provided. Cylinders can be manufactured to relevant international standards upon request.
